Between January 2023 and January 2024, we conducted a 10-question survey, both online and through industry tradeshows, to gather data from across the U.S. and Canada, supporting insight into current workplace safety and preparedness among health care professionals.
A Look Inside the Annual Report:
- The health care industry stands 21 points below the Workplace Violence Prevention Training Index Leader benchmark, indicating most health care organizations are at high risk of an unsafe work environment.
- Only 33% of health care organizations report implementing system-wide de-escalation training to all staff.
- 55% of health care professionals believe their workplace violence policies are only somewhat or not effective in reducing workplace violence.
